2. Information handled by ScanTip

We do not require an account. ScanTip does not ask you to create a profile, and it does not provide cloud synchronization of receipt or calculation history.
3. How information is used
Information is used to:
- scan and recognize receipt totals when you request that feature;
- calculate tips, split bills, apply rounding, and compare the final amount with an optional dining target;
- save calculations and preferences locally at your direction;
- provide, measure, secure, and improve the app;
- deliver and measure advertising, control ad frequency, and prevent invalid traffic or fraud;
- respond to support, privacy, or legal inquiries; and
- comply with applicable law and enforce product security.
5. Your choices and controls
- Use manual entry instead of granting camera access.
- Use the Android system Photo Picker to choose only the image you want to process.
- Delete individual saved calculations from History.
- Clear local app data or uninstall ScanTip to remove locally stored calculations and preferences.
- Control or reset the Android advertising identifier and ad-personalization choices through your device and applicable consent controls.
- Contact Lopezh200514@gmail.com for a privacy inquiry. Because receipt calculations are not stored on our servers and no account is required, we generally cannot identify or remotely delete local app data on your device.
6. Retention and deletion
Temporary photos created by ScanTip are deleted after receipt processing finishes, is canceled, or fails. Saved calculations and preferences remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Support emails are retained only as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support history, protect the app, or meet legal obligations.
Advertising providers retain advertising and device data according to their own policies, legal requirements, consent choices, and fraud-prevention needs. Their retention periods may differ from ours.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. Core receipt recognition, calculation, history, and preferences are designed to operate locally on your device. Where third-party services transmit data, modern encrypted transport such as HTTPS is expected. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
8. Children’s privacy
ScanTip is intended for adults managing dining payments and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact Lopezh200514@gmail.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. International processing
Advertising and support service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, applicable contractual, consent, and legal safeguards are used for international transfers.
10. This website
The public pages at tttipcalculator.com do not include an account system, contact form, analytics script, or advertising script. The website itself does not intentionally set tracking cookies. If you email us through a link on the site, your email provider processes the message under its own privacy policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, our data practices, legal requirements, or service providers change. We will post the updated policy at this URL and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or other appropriate means when required by law.
